Q: Why should I use Scout?
A: Scout is designed to help you source candidates 2X faster than the competition. Faster CV delivery means you have more time to spend with clients, meet candidates, and hunt for new business.

Integration with ATS

Q: Is Scout a replacement for my ATS (e.g., JobAdder)?
A: No, Scout complements your ATS by providing advanced sourcing capabilities on top of your existing ATS.

Q: How is Scout linked to my JobAdder?
A: Scout has a two-way sync with JobAdder:

  • All candidates in JobAdder, existing and new, get synced into Scout automatically, including candidate CVs.
  • All jobs launched on JobAdder are available in Scout. You can attach them to Projects to get instant recommendations.
  • View recruitment activities tied to candidates such as shortlists, rejections, or hires in Scout.
  • Scout updates outdated CVs in JobAdder by capturing new data from LinkedIn profiles.
  • Scout centralizes notes from LinkedIn Recruiter, JobAdder, and Scout, making them available in both Scout and JobAdder.

Q: Should I upload CVs into Scout or JobAdder?
A: Always upload CVs into JobAdder only. CVs will automatically flow into Scout from there.

Q: Does Scout save uploaded CVs back into JobAdder?
A: No, Scout does not save uploaded CVs back into JobAdder as per the decision made by your Company Admin.

Using Scout

Q: How do I start a new search on Scout?
A: Visit the Search Page, upload a job description file, link a URL, or describe your requirements in plain text. Scout will present a confirmation screen for review. Edit fields, mark key skills as mandatory, and click “Submit” to view search results.

Q: What can I do with the search results?
A: You can view candidate profiles, add candidates to a project, manage the candidate pipeline, link jobs, and carry out automated engagements with the candidates.

Q: Why am I getting few results?
A: Consider broadening your search criteria, ensuring your database size is adequate, and rephrasing keywords and phrases. Sometimes, relaxing filters such as experience range, specific skills, or preferred companies can yield better results.

Q: How can I improve my results?
A: Refine job descriptions, use synonyms and variations of key terms, regularly update candidate profiles, and consider expanding the search radius or being open to remote candidates.

Scout Features

Q: What are the main features of Scout?
A: Scout allows you to find suitable candidates, create longlists, link live jobs, access a talent map, perform candidate outreach, and manage CV selling for new business.

Q: Can Scout help with candidate outreach?
A: Yes, Scout connects your candidate phone numbers to WhatsApp and allows you to send personalized messages over email and/or InMail using Scout’s built-in CRM.

Support and Limitations

Q: Is there a limit to the number of searches, CV views, or outreach I can do via Scout?
A: No, there are no limits. The more you use Scout, the faster you get with sourcing CVs.
