How Scout fits together

  • Your database: candidates come from your ATS sync, resume uploads, your career mailbox and the Chrome extension. Scout merges duplicates and keeps profiles up to date.
  • Search and pipeline: you search, save candidates to projects or jobs, and move them through stages.
  • Outreach: sequences send timed emails, LinkedIn messages or WhatsApp messages and stop when someone replies.
  • Business development: a separate workspace for clients, prospects and company watchlists.

Projects, jobs and visibility

Use a project for an internal candidate pool or search. Use a job for a specific role you are hiring for. Both have a candidate board. A job created in Scout also supports candidate matching and an optional public job posting.

The public posting and internal access are separate. An active, unexpired public job page provides job details and an application route, not the candidate pipeline or notes. Inside Scout, Manage access or Manage contributors lets the creator manage contributors and organization-wide visibility. Users whose only role is Recruiter Lite can access only jobs they created or contribute to. A job without an active public posting can still be available to teammates with internal access. Read Jobs and Projects and Pipeline for the details.
